Too many Timeouts
- they should cut down from 7 to 4 timeouts
- the challenges lead to extra timeout(s) anyway; if team wins initial challenge it's like getting an extra timeout
- when referees need to review something; another extra timeout
- player health, infection control; another potential timeout
- every team is starting to call timeouts before 4th quarter 3:00 media timeout b/c they can only carry 2 below 3 minutes so they lose them anyway
- they have enough timeouts to do offense/defense switches now
- teams have so many timeouts now that they're starting to call quick timeouts starting off a game or out of half when the other team gets off to a hot start
All these stoppages are excuses for the networks to run more ads. This ruins how we watch the games; along with possibly leading to some of these injuries. Why's that? How do we know all these extra stops and starts during game action aren't causing some of these injuries? How about we ask ESPN to give us some of these metrics? 😀
2024-2025 NBA season: it's time to consider the play in tourney is nonsense and just a money grab by NBA and ESPN/TNT. Why's that? Check this out: ORL clinches their division title on the 80th game in a game against BOS (who sat out 6 of top 7 scorers BTW). Division standings from ESPN: https://www.espn.com/nba/standings/_/group/division. ORL wins the Southeast division title and they're in the freakin' play in!! What's going on?!? How you gonna have a division winner in the play-in tourney and say the play-in matters? This is on top of the fact that any team that has survived this play-in nonsense has done NOTHING in the playoffs anyway (I don't think they've gotten out of the 1st round yet). But you know what ESPN and NBA will focus on? The yet part... Another nonsense thing about the NBA: they want to promote the mid-season tourney as something great and all fans should want to watch? The stats and win/loss from the championship game DON'T COUNT TOWARDS ANYTHING!!! They are dismissed! On top of player health and load management nonsense the NBA tries to preach, they make the players play a game that doesn't even F'in count and wants everyone to watch!!! Hahahaha, c'mon everyone.. what's going on here.. GREED is what's going on..
